Jewish people lived in Israel throughout history. In the 19th and 20th century Jewish people bought land in Israel.

At the end, Jews owned a little bit less than 2% of the land. All the other ethnic groups owned around the same amount of land.

The rest of the land was owned by the state, changing hands from one empire to the next.

The Brits back off from the area, they offered the land, half to the Jews, half to the Arabs. The Arabs didn’t agree, they wanted it all.

Israel was announced on more ground than originally offered, the Arabs tried, and failed to take it all from them self.

    The rest is history.
