“Bruh at this point the only left wing sub left not overrun by tankies is r/neoliberal“

I thought I couldn’t see worse than I’ve already seen on Reddit and yet there it is

    Elsewhere in the thread:

There is also this constant shifting of goalposts from the Very-only Left.

    VOL: “We want X.”

Biden: “If elected, I’m going to do X.”

VOL: “He’s never actually going to do X.”

Biden: is elected and does X

VOL: “He should have done more.”

Ah yes, the famous and well-documented history of Democrats following through on their campaign promises. Very happy we have a public option, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are over, and Guantanamo Bay has been closed.

Well we’re also concerned about the campaign promises we do think he’ll keep, like paying cops more and “standing up to China.”

I entirely blame the stupid political compass for shit like this. There’s even a part in the explanation where the authors claim Hitler and Stalin would have gotten along in a conversation about politics so long as they didn’t mention economics. Yes, Hitler and Stalin, two enemy commanders in the largest war ever, got along in regards to politics.

I love WW2 docs where they make Stalin out to be this naive man with a boy crush in Hitler who gets all depressed and dumbfounded when Hitler broker their little pwomise to not go to war.

I mean, even setting aside the absurdity of the claim, I’m just, like …

Other than that, Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?
