I loved a lot of Trent’s early stuff. Then he went to rehab, sobered up, and his music changed. This was one of the first indications I had of his changing style. A lot of fans didn’t like it, but I think his songs became much more focused (especially lyrically). And thematically, this song will never not be relevant.

His work in film music is really great too. He and Mark Mothersbaugh are weirdly similar and yet it’s like they’re from different planets

It took me a long time to get on board with his style change. Now I think I actually prefer his newer stuff.

If you like this check out “How To Destroy Angels” it is one of his side projects

I like his “new” stuff up to around With Teeth. After that, he got a bit noodly for me. Not that he started making crap, it just wasn’t what I’m into. But I’ll have a listen to your recommendation.

I love Trents work so much, his music got me through a rough part in my life and seeing how healthy and happy he is now is just inspiring. Plus him and his mates called Marilyn Manson Arch Deluxe which is the funniest shit to me.
