Struggling Dutch comics artist here.
I joined feddit.nl a few days ago. I’m always looking for places to share my comics. Engagement on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter has always been poor. I had some successes on Reddit (mostly during the pandemic), but that has dried up after the API wars happened and many people left the platform.
Somebody told me to try Lemmy and boy oh boy. My first couple of posts here got me some upvotes and even some comments. Joy! :ط

The Israel/Palistine situation gets people quite worked up. Im currently actively ignoring those posts, as I must keep my mind from that spiral of violence.
Besides that, both in Connect and on firefoxt somehow my posts arent showing up in my profile, whilst comments do. Not sure what causes that, but I have been procastrinating looking up steps to fix that.
I looked at your profile on Connect and I saw both posts and your comments of yours; weird case indeed
