    It’s nice to see some humility from him for a change, but action speaks louder than words. I’ll be curious to see what we do before the trade deadline here because I feel like we have a lot of rebuilding to do. Our pitching is going to be bad for a few years unless we do something drastic. I just don’t know how he can say they didn’t see this coming after years of limping into the playoffs after struggling for most of the season.

    It very much feels like there has been this expectation that the Cardinals would always be in contention no matter what players you threw out there, but that luck seems to have finally run out. Mo and the organization need to take a step back and see the reality of the situation instead of thinking things will just work themselves out eventually.

    I guess we’ll see what happens!

      Replace Cardinals with Yankees and this is exactly how it feels over here. Unfortunately, our GM would never initiate sell mode at the deadline, even if we needed to do some rebuilding.

      Sorry didn’t mean to hijack the Cardinals crosspost but those words just pierced me lol
