Basically what the title says. I’m assuming the answer is yes, because I would be able to fetch data but no other server would be able to fetch anything from me. So maybe I could browse other instances but not comment or post in any of them? Thanks!

Probably you could put authentik only in front of the ui endpoint but let the lemmy endpoints unauthenticated. This way the federation should still work
