I occasionally go to whole foods, pickup 20 pounds of free fat clippings, then render my own tallow for free. You just have to call them and ask first. If I’m lazy I just use butter it’s fine and taste best to me.
I love butter. To think of all those years I ate margarine because of the government and industry propaganda that told me it was better for me. 😡
I cook for a solid 5 years with canola oil before learning it was poison. Luckily growing up we ate mostly baked food with the occasional fried food and family or restaurants.
My thought is that my younger body could stand more dietary abuse than my current elderly body. I’m thankful that the good Lord led me to a better way of eating in my old age.
