Yes. They Austin Powered themselves you know. I did manage to get to my appointment, just super late. And uh, I got a new doctor, which is great, cause I felt the previous one was rather dismissive of my concerns.
This new doctor does listen, but thinks I might have Bipolar instead of ADHD.
Ah, glad to know that your appointment was not affected. The traffic and parking around UMMC can be a nightmare as well.
Happy to hear that you have a chance with a new doctor! Hopefully your have a better experience with them! Mood disorders can be quite common to come with other conditions, so hopefully it’s not something serious - but I’m sure you will know to talk to the doctor if it is concerning. My best wishes to you!

Today I’m taking about 2 people, Stephen King (the author) and Jeff Zwart (the advertising guy, now more well know for being a Porsche guy).
In Stephen King’s various books, he writes describes the beauty of summer in . Its always beautiful, blue sky, endless greens, the heat, baseball games, kids out of school with the whole of summer stretched out in an endless bliss. And in the long heat of summer, things happen. Mother’s go crazy, baseball bats go crack!, ancient monsters pretend to be humans, kids carefully managing their coins to spend on food or entertainment.
Jeff Zwart was a successful commercial photo and video guy who did well with many automotive ad campaigns. He also has various success in motor racing, including 8 class victories in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Here is an old video from 2014 that shows the amazing venue, has good shots of the car from inside and out, and is excellent cut and edited.
Jeff Zwart occassionally posts his home views on IG, and they are shocking beautiful. These shots gave me the Stephen King vibes- the scenery is so beautiful you expect a murderer or manipulative mother or psychic hunter right behind you.
I just joined Lemmy like yesterday due to trying to move away from reddit.
Today, I’ve been experimenting around with the fediverse trying to figure out the UI and all. But this weird hack thing that is happening on at least lemmy.world makes it all a bit confusing 🤔
For example, when I am signed in and check my feed in “new” I only see posts from 2 days ago, even though it seems like new content is still being posted.
Similarly this Cafe post from today has 0 comments even though yesterdays had like 50. Are there just not many people on Lemmy, or is this some weird issue I’m having?

It’s just slow day and we don’t really have many people here haha
I find that between yesterday and today, a sign out and signing back in solved most of the glitches I’m seeing (subscriptions not populated or appearing, post updates, latest posts, etc). I forsee doing this periodically for the forseable future of using Lemmy, regardless of home instance.

from another instance you don’t see anything new from the 10 July. this thread doesn’t exist. and of 10th july, the number of comments are not the same on that day, 69 local vs 72 in the instance i am in, which means that there are comments that exist elsewhere that failed to federate here.
I default to that instance, so i would bring up cafe@monyet.cc and blink stupidly for a few seconds (no update??) before remembering to open monyet.cc directly.

Monyet.cc works great on chrome mobile for me. Connect is also a great app for Lemmy. Not sure about iOS case though
For iOS Memmy seems to be the best app option for now, though more apps are coming!
