At this time, they have no mods. I use to moderate over on Reddit. But have moved here. I just made a new community on a different server that I moderate also.

    Hey there. Please post something in that community and post the link here.

      Process question: As I am a mod and active on /c/Portland and was not checked in with, what process is being used to evaluate things like this? I would have been fine chatting with BarterClub, but we have been trying to have community discussions on how the place should be ran and what sort of content fits. Now suddenly there is a new mod and we weren’t consulted!?

        AWww sorry I messed up. It’s indeed an issue related to federation of servers, of mods, of messages, etc… All this is very new for everyone, and also some of it changes from version to version.

        Let’s assume everybody here is in good faith, trying their best, and find a clever solution. I asked other admins what they think should be done. But i think I fucked up.

        Can you people check and tell me what to do: shall i rollback this mod thing? Or do you need mods on each server, and can live together? More mods is often better than too few, if everybody agrees that is…

        Cheers, and let’s find a way! <3

          Thank you for responding.

          I removed BarterClub as a mod, but suggested they make a post asking the existing community for support in becoming a mod. If the existing users are OK with it, then I’m happy to add them back.

          If possible, I would suggest a change to process where the admin verifies the community is abandoned before adding mods.

            hey sorry for not responding earlier. you are right indeed, and i put your point to discussion with other admins here after you had made it… problem is: moderation is crazy, i think close to impossible task for volunteers… and how otherwise?

            anyways, sorry for switching topic, you are right and i’ll be careful in the future;

            cheers
