I am a die-hard stellaris player, even though I only play in single player. Any thoughts on Sins?

They have very little in common. Stellaris is far more strategic with a whole load of systems layered on top of each other to make it into a pretty broad GSG.

Sins is C&C in space. Tactical rather than strategic.

They’re both fantastic games, but other than having spaceships in them they don’t have much else in common. May as well compare Hearts of Iron to Company of Heroes.

  • Disclaimer: I haven’t played Sins for like, 6 years or something. But it’s definitely Stellaris-lite. I much prefer Stellaris to get my MOO2 kick. My main recollection of Sins tho was that it was very buggy, and as a result I was never able to complete a game without it crashing!

That is a valid point. My main gripe with stellaris is that it’s SLOOOW. It takes hours to finish just one map. And even then you won’t guarantee an end game crisis, if Sins has a faster gameplay, I might check it out, but if it’s buggy to the point of unplayable I may stick with stellaris.
