Fair enough. Looks like “According to World Bank data, the global fertility rate was 2.4 children per woman in 2019. This rate is approximately half of what it was in 1950 (4.7), and more economically developed countries such as Australia, most of Europe, and South Korea, tend to have lower rates than do less-developed or low-income countries.”
There’s definitely differences in birth rates – it’s where Baby Boomer got the name. Here are the CDC numbers below, but in brief, the birth rate in 1950 across all races was 24.1, while in 2019, it was 11.4, meaning people in 1950 were squirting them out at over twice the rate as those just a few years ago.
Perhaps they’re attached to the metaphorical walls the woman in blue has put up in the relationship, thus contributing to the man’s wandering eye?
Not missing anything, that’s just the current style that gets the most views. It’ll eventually change to something different and everyone will adopt that new style for a while.
Yup, Scott Cramer recently did an interesting video that touches on this on his second channel, Scott is Struggling. Pretty cool if you’re into that kinda meta game of YouTube.
If a loud concert or horror movie popped up next door and rattled the houses of an entire neighborhood from 10pm to 2am, I’m pretty sure law enforcement would do something about it.
Ohh, that makes sense, thanks.
I am a little confused why that handle doesn’t appear to be attached to anything.

You’re closer than you think:
I struggled for years with my cat to get him to stay hydrated. Did fountains, running tap, ice cubes in the bowl – nothing. Then one day, while he was slurping out of my water glass, it occurred to me: Just give him his own water cup up on a table, dumbass. Sure enough, his intake immediately shot up and his little bunny turds disappeared. Would recommend.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
I never woulda guessed you were doing so much “on the job” learning behind the scenes. Seemed like lemmy.zip just materialized fully formed, and that is a testament to all you and Sami have put into this instance for us. Thank you!!
I’m pretty sure he said as much when he started doing more short-form facecam videos.
Or lobby so their private planes are untrackable.
I agree that the bones are good, if it’s used as a framework, not a formula. I think if someone wrote to each point strictly, you’d probably end up with a mediocre story with a boilerplate MC in a bloated world with a drawn out conclusion.
Still, they’re solid guidelines, just not steadfast rules to a guaranteed great story.
For anyone curious to learn more about the fast-pass system, or who just wants to watch an awesome Defunctland video:
I think watching a couple audiologist videos where they dig out years of compacted q-tip cotton pressed against the eardrum might change their opinion.
Talk about hair of the dog.
Watchmen is kinda like the Mona Lisa. Is it the most incredible painting ever by today’s standards? Not at all, but during its time, it was incredible, influencing artists for centuries to come.
Watchmen elevated comic books from telling stories about boy scout aliens from Krypton to graphic novels about deeper, darker, bigger issues.
If you’re looking to get into graphic novels with a more literary bent, you’ll want to explore the indie scene, I think. I would recommend trying Maus or Persepolis to see if they are more what you’re looking for.
If only it were once a year. This year, people started on the 28th of fucking June, and didn’t stop until the goddamn 6th.
If it actually was contained to the 4th, I would be fine with it, but getting woken up by an explosion every night at 1:30am for a week straight, it gets real old, real fast.
