##Weird Al Celebrates Ten-Year Anniversary of Mandatory Fun with All-New Polka Medley “Polkamania!”
Ten years ago this week, “Weird Al” Yankovic released Mandatory Fun, the first comedy album in history to debut at #1 on the Billboard albums chart. Today, in celebration of that unprecedented feat, Al is releasing his new single and video “Polkamania!,” a medley of some of the biggest and most memorable songs of the last decade.
In keeping with Al’s many previous polka medleys, “Polkamania!” lampoons the biggest hits by today’s most iconic artists. Just a few of the the songs and artists included in the medley are Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers,” Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy,” ” Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” Adele’s “Hello,” and Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.”
For “Polkamania!,” Al also enlisted a dozen of his favorite animators and filmmakers including past collaborators such as Jarrett Heather (“Word Crimes”), Bill Plympton (“Don’t Download This Song,” “TMZ”), Liam Lynch (“Craigslist,” “First World Problems”), Ghostbot (“Party in the CIA”), and Augenblick Studios (“Another Tattoo,” “Your Horoscope for Today,” and the Amish sequence in WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story). Notable new collaborators include British animator Cyriak and A24’s Hazbin Hotel creator Vivienne Medrano.

I’m happy to announce that this weekend, Gary, Chris, Matt and I successfully filmed a new season as the Technical Difficulties! It’ll take a while for these to get edited and published — we’re in no rush — but there’s something on the way, likely for what business types call “Q3”.
Q3 is July-September, so I guess just a month or two given we’re already halfway through July

3·8 days agoOnly the website unfortunately, it’s a separate thing from Lemmy/Masto/etc. Personally I’m using the Numbers style on the template. The number corresponds to the index of the color in the pallet (starting at White=0), so you just have to count to get the right color. That works for me on mobile
Looking at the current map, would you be interested in moving to the left then lemmy.zip takes your place? We can put them together as [↑SC↓] @ [🐭.zip]

Was scrolling though some older posts from last year, and came across @the_dopamine_fiend@toast.ooo’s idea to do the Arecibo message. So, here it is! Centered on the right edge because why not?
Nor did I! That was just a reference to German communities being incredibly prevalent on r/place (and the first Canvas), with giant german flags stretching all across the canvas. r/placeDE is a well-oiled machine, peak German efficiency
