We (Me, wife and kids) loved the movie, can’t wait for a sequel.

There’s a lot that they can do with the story, but it seems they have shown pretty much every game in the movie, would be interesting to see what they do with it.

I watched the movie some days ago. I went in expecting a good movie, and it still impressed me. Can’t wait for the second one!

Same here, I had pretty high hopes for it given the trailers and it was quite good IMO. I know some people didn’t care for it, but I enjoyed it. It definitely hit on the nostalgia for me growing up with Nintendo games. Definitely looking forward to the sequel!

Filled with cool references and easter eggs, lovely! Also I really appreciated the characterization, every character felt pretty unique, and they managed to keep it genuinely funny all the time, without becoming cringey (I realized that in the scenes where bowser sings. they did a really good job)

My friend took his four-year-old and two-year-old to the first movie expecting to have to leave early because of the kids’ behavior. They actually were enthralled enough by the movie to sit through the whole movie seated and we’ll behaved.

That’s cool. I guess maybe because it’s Mario which has wide appeal in general but also because Mario typically features lots of colors, as kids generally like colors.
