I miss my Gameboy but I remember being so happy to get an SP with that sweet backlit display
There are now backlit display kits for all Game Boy models. It’s pretty great.
Is that like a casemod? Or do you straight up replace the screen?
Take a look around sites like Retro Game Repair Shop to see a bunch of different Game Boy mods. Since the tech is so old there has been a lot of people working on different mods over the years.

Yeah it’s a cool color, I think it was a Japan only version. The reproductions didn’t match so I switched to a black ITA ready shell when I put in the screen.
