I pledge allegiance to the Free Market of the United States of America, and to the Corporations for which it stands, one Nation under Profit, indivisible, with liberty and justice for shareholders.
Funny thing is there’s so many things the GOP does that are super anti-free market. Corn and soybean subsidies, fossil fuel subsidies, restrictive zoning, parking minimums, curb setback requirements, lot size minimums, trade wars, general protectionism, etc.
GOP doesn’t have principles beyond “fuck you, got mine”. Any they claim to have are just PR. Their “family values” involve protecting and electing known pedophiles. Their “free speech” involves book burnings and firing teachers for teaching “wokeism”. Their “law and order” involves protecting a criminal ex-president facing a litany of criminal charges. Their “small government” involves intruding upon the private lives of consenting adults and trampling any designated out-groups with the full force of state violence.
Oh, it’s divisible alright. It’s being divided as we speak.
That happens when you make bribery legal.
You didn’t, they did

but corporations ARE people, right?
In the same way a fetus is a person unless the government kills it, a corporation is a person until they get in trouble…
Oh yeah, prove it.
Come on… Name one thing that the GOP is doing to regulate people.
Just one thing! Do it!
But ignore the following things:
- black people
- women
- young people
- Gay people
- school children
- teenagers
- what books people can read
- what topics that can be taught
- women’s bodies
- voting rights
- migrants
- homeless
- people on welfare
- people who don’t own property
- people with student loans
Edit: more names that you can’t use.
- transgendered
- middle school kids (both dead or alive)

Why not neither?
You know we used to have completely unregulated business?
It was called the industrial revolution/the gilded age. It led to abhorrent working conditions, people maimed or killed almost daily, child labor, all of these whole providing pennies a day.
It wasn’t until the workers of America rose up (a lot of times violently) that we finally got labor laws. Those laws protect the individual from the psychopathic business owners who treated their employees like slaves all because there was no piece of paper that said they couldn’t.
Unregulated business is how you end up in sweat shops.
Because people can be assholes, so we get a little bit of regulation… as a treat.
