Since launch, Google Messages has not allowed RCS on more than one phone number, but the app looks to be readying support for dual/multi SIMs.
But they will still be blocking rooted users or users of alternative operating systems from using RCS, all while they complain about how Apple should implement RCS.
When will it support responding with more than 7 emoji in the web UI?
Still don’t care about Google’s version of RCS…
Kinda wonder if the RCS push from apple and google is too little, too late. Doesn’t everyone talk to their whole crew on messenger apps these days? 90% of my contacts are on telegram and the rest use whatsapp. what possible incentive is there to use sms?
I don’t. Outside of Discord (which, really, I just don’t want people to have my phone number), I have a Group Me for fantasy football that goes back to like…2012 and that’s it. Everything else I do is on texts. And GroupMe will probably die once the RCS stuff goes into effect for Apple
Eerie how they are starting this right after I get a dual SIM phone…
