      It is indeed. This one even has a clip point on it that wouldn’t look at all out of place on a modern knife.

      Random tangentially related fact: tang-grip folding knives like the Svord Peasant use a mechanism that is essentially unchanged from the era of this and similar knives from antiquity.

      The ring on that one most likely would have had a loop of leather or some other cord through it for the user to grip against the handle and serve as a very basic “lock,” keeping the blade open.
