@akademy@floss.social @akademy@lemmy.kde.social With so many cool people and places it is hard to choose a favourite Akademy. But if I must it would be the one at Gran Canaria, or maybe the one at Almeria. So sad I can’t come this yeah :(
@JRepin @akademy@floss.social @akademy@lemmy.kde.social For me, it was Tampere. It just felt special, maybe because there also was a cosplay convention going on, and I met my first unicorn 🙂
@akademy@floss.social @akademy@lemmy.kde.social Not the worst, nor the best, but the most remarkable, for me, was Glasgow, 2007. I came because I had to hand over an Akademy Award, but within an hour of my arrival, a terrorist attack happened at the airport,
My luggage was lost.
So, day before the ceremony, I went to one of the few open dry goods shops, and told the girl, “I need everything. Underwear. Shirtings. Suit. Belt. Shoes. Accessories. Bring me everything.”
I was quite natty, handing out the award that night.
