A collection of works, published in 1969, by the defendants in the Chicago Eight Conspiracy Trial. Following the clashes at the 1968 Democratic National Convention, the US Department of Justice charged some of the organizers who had encouraged people to come to Chicago with incitement to riot, among other charges. All defendants in the trial were eventually acquitted or had their convictions overturned. The book also includes an introduction by Noam Chomsky, mostly dealing with the American War in Vietnam.
