The latest doxxing attempt fits into a pattern of threats against people who speak out against former President Donald Trump.

The addresses and phone numbers of former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen’s family members were posted to a doxxing website after presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts in connection with a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election.

Cohen, Trump’s former “fixer,” played a key role in the plot to keep adult film actor Stormy Daniels quiet during the 2016 election and testified against Trump at trial. According to Cohen, Trump said the revelation of Daniels’ story of an affair would be a “total disaster” and “catastrophic” for his 2016 campaign.

Trump, who has denied an affair, was convicted of falsifying business records related to Cohen’s hush money payment to keep Daniels from telling her story. “What I was doing was at the direction of and for the benefit of Mr. Trump,” Cohen, who served time in prison, said at trial.

While Trump begs and pleads with SCOTUS to overturn his convictions, his followers tattle on witnesses in the form of doxxing.

I’d say this is childish behavior, but I know better behaved children.

I hate defending the Mafia, but at least they have the courage to show up in person. These faceless cowards release personal information from the comforts of anonymity.

I mean this in all seriousness: I haven’t seen Beetlejuice the Musical, but that just seems like the kind of play that getting a handy during would give me an aversion to hand-jobs. Add all of the ensuing discourse and news, I’d probably have some serious intimacy issues.

Then again, hooking up with Boebert isn’t exactly symptomatic of a healthy personality.

In fairness some of them won’t be able to show up in person unless Jerry Springer shows up to take the front wall of their trailer off.

They also know that loyalty is a two-way street. You do something for me, and I’m going to reward you with loyalty in turn. If you look back over the series of events that led Michael Cohen to testify against Trump, it’s pretty clear that Trump doesn’t work that way.

“Tattle” “Chidlish behavior, I know better behaved children”

The person who gave testimony against one of the most dangerous people in the world just had the whereabouts of their spouse and children leaked, and your response is 'wow, look at the tattletales, how childish"

That’s fair. It’s also fair to say that appealing to the Supreme Court isn’t begging. I was using similes to liken their tantrums to childish behavior. See, I did it again.

I didn’t mean to minimize the impact, but ridicule their behavior.

There are doxxing websites? Like purpose-made? Isn’t that illegal? Article doesn’t mention the name, but says it has been used before. Wouldn’t it just get deleted after the first time?

It’s mind-blowing to me seeing Americans all surprised that their laws don’t magically extend to every corner of the world through the internet. Crazy mfs lmao

What? No, young people that never saw a phone book are the likely cause here. It’s not illegal to post publicly available details.

Tons of doxxing is nothing more than searching publicly available information. People who already know all the sources can do it easily. These websites would only make it accessible in one place.

Try doxxing yourself sometime. It’s scary.
