I finally made a TikTok recently. On desktop, I couldn’t follow anybody, and after a week I couldn’t upload videos. Downloaded the mobile app, and my phone battery started losing 40-50% more battery per day, despite less than 5 minutes of usage per day in the tiktok app (uninstalled tiktok and all of a sudden my battery issues are gone).
Some time in the last week, I was suspended for having my twitch name visible in a tiktok. Or at least I assume so, since they never actually told me why I was suspended, or even that I was until I tried to login to upload a video.
What I’m getting at is, fuck tiktok.
Fuck the CCP.
Wait tell they see American platforms like Facebook!
But what about…
It’s not whataboutism when Facebook is the biggest offender yet regulators get mad at TikTok.
That’s… that’s literally what whataboutism is…
It’s literally not… Whataboutism is comparing apples to apples. Facebook is billions of people larger than TikTok. It also influences a much greater % of the voting population than TikTok.
So this is just not whataboutism no matter how you look at it.

Broken record much? How about replying to the thread that others are actually using? Or wait, you have no argument, that’s right.

Fuck them too.
What’s he gonna do, ban it?
hmm
I never used TikTok so I’m commenting on the assumption that now things are the same everywhere.
I can believe that there is a lot of manipulated content. But then when it comes to decide which content is manipulated and which isn’t most of the time the decision is the opposite of the truth, except for that content manipulated on purpose to provide the false alternative and trap the discussion between two falsehoods.
