Dumb question but I might learn something. Why is the tomato sauce not red?
I added spinach
I’d guess it’s a tomato base, different seasoning and/or ingredients will change the color. Also, not all tomatoes are bright red.
If it’s chick pea it could be like a curry or Channa masala. The base is tomatoes but the spice turns it brown
Oh that looks so good!! I think I’ll steal your wonderful idea and make something similar this weekend! A giant batch of saucy chickpeas is always a good idea!
I would be totally lost without tomatoes 🍅
