Majority of our matches are low blocks to medium blocks. Those are hard for any team and we’re so much better at facing them now. But it’s boring to watch. Only city face similar in the league. Everyone else gets to play with so much space. We’re almost never going to see last season’s Arsenal attacking football. May be 10 matches at most a season

This is true and I’ve often heard City games described as boring to watch, but their chance creation metrics are better than ours. It’s definitely something Mikel needs to figure out

We’re reserving ourselves like City always do - City always look off it pre Christmas but they’re always within 5 points off the top and then Jan - April they go on some crazy 15 game winning run and take the league. We burnt out last season because there was no strategy we didn’t expect to win the league so we rode our wave of insane form until it fell apart in February and the pressure + injuries from then on killed us

I like your optimism but personally I don’t think this is some deliberate master plan to reserve our energy for the run in. I think it’s just opposition teams sitting deep against us that’s stifling our attack

Two things can be true at once. Also we haven’t had a full strength 11 so far in 23/24 like we did in the first 14 games of last season

Look at this way, without clicking we’re still top of the fridge, so like City, we can be very good without our best players and best form meaning that when we hit form we should be willing our way past teams 10-11 games on the trot.
