I know the Jahmyr Gibbs pick was a bit odd, and not immediately popular with us fans. But I ran across this YouTube video showing the declining value of RBs, and how they are having trouble getting paid. But around the 8:37 mark, he says RBs need to adapt and add value in the passing game, then holds up Saints RB Alvin Kamara as an example to support his argument. Kamara is getting paid, but has never broken a thousand yards rushing in a season. His value is in the passing game where he’s a match up nightmare.

This leads us to Jahmyr Gibbs, and the same possibilities he could pose for defenses. It’s odd to see the Lions at the forefront of an evolving NFL. We still have to see it on the field, but we may have something special to look forward to during the season.
