I remember putting my Quake 2 disc into CD players. The audio on that games in standard WAV files so the soundtrack can actually be played through a CD player just fine. It was also a pretty great soundtrack.
josh: it’s SPHERICAL
This has got to be the definition of a shitpost
I think some if not all PS1 games could play audio files in a normal CD player.
I can’t remember what game it was, but I had a PS1 game back in the day I popped into my PC to see what it had on it, and found some .WAV files and a music video for Type O Negative’s Love You to Death on it. None of the music was actually in the game what-so-ever which made it quite an oddity. But it also led me to discover more gothic music so that was cool.
Careful, that is probably the last good modern battlefield ever released.
