permitting it to penetrate armor at greater distance.
I wouldn’t have thought the distance could be that big.
Apparently that EFP is travelling at 2000m/s (Mach 6) and can penetrate up to 140mm of RHA. They don’t provide the weight of the EFP.
(This might be all wrong and not how it works.) If the search radius is 100m and search angle is 30degrees the triangle would be a=173m (“height”, not accounting for angle), b=100m (search radius), c=200m (longest distance, not accounting for angle). I don’t know if it looks like a ~200m distance or not.

SFW skeet has some 1kg of
coppertantalum probably in EFP, going at 1km/s or slightly faster, BONUS is probably heavier because BONUS skeet is heavier than SFW skeetmore precisely, BONUS skeet is 6.5 kg while SFW skeet is 3.4 kg
Bigger EFP and twice as fast. So do you think it’s capable of travelling 200m before penetration?
(CBU-97 Sensor Fuzed Weapon (SFW) with BLU-108 submunition/skeet)
tantalum EFPs, used when diameter is a limitation, can punch through its own diameter of RHA. diameter of skeets is in range of 130mm, and top armor of tanks can have anywhere between 30 and 70mm of thickness, rarely more, so there’s some safety factor included
it’s good enough
