When teenagers Mike and Debbie see a comet crash outside of their sleepy town, they go to investigate and discover a troop of murderous aliens who look like circus clowns.
This is unironically one of my favorite movies. I especially like showing it to people who have never seen it before. It’s so much fun.
I watched this when I was wayyyyy too young and couldn’t understand what was happening, and it’s the one of the big reasons for my lifelong fear of clowns.
Now I like to watch it every Halloween even though I am still freaked out by clowns lol
Easily one of my Halloween staples. Arguably it still holds up well to this day.
Fun fact: some of the clown costumes were reused a few years later in another great Halloween film, Ernest Scared Stupid (1991).

My daughter (13) loves Killer Klowns from Outer Space. I just bought her a Killer Klowns shirt which I had to make her take off after two days because she’s a teenager. But I guess that shows how much she loves it.

I watched his a few years back after much insisting from a friend. Actually, oddly, good.
The thing is, if you’re looking for a horror movie this isn’t it. If you’re looking for something profoundly stupid and hilarious this is the best movie in the world.
It’s kinda your fault if you think a movie called Killer Clowns from Outer Space is gonna be scary. Same with Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
